POSITION: Full Time, Permanent

LOCATION: Home based

SALARY: £25,000-£35,000 DOE

THE CHALLENGE

We are looking for someone who possesses a strong work ethic and logical thinking, who can work well on their own and as part of a team. Someone who is a genuine enthusiast for digital media and a consumer of varying forms of software such as mobile applications, games, web applications and websites. And finally, a champion of quality who has a great eye for detail, consistency and is stringent in ensuring the very best quality is achieved for the products they’re responsible for.

As a QA Engineer, you will be embedded within the development team, your role is to ensure quality and reliability across all of our products on a variety of different devices, operating systems and browsers. This will be achieved through various testing methods such as functional, acceptance, end-to-end, performance, smoke and exploratory testing. You will be required to attend key meetings such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups and retrospectives.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO HEALIOS

  • Knowledgeable in all major mobile and desktop operating systems
  • Knowledgeable in all major web browsers
  • Excellent written and spoken communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Time management and prioritisation skills to ensure deadlines are met
  • Proven software testing experience, including writing test cases and manual test plans
  • Able to take ownership of their work and content switch between products with ease
  • Familiar with the agile development process
  • Familiar with bug tracking systems such as Jira, Asana, Bugzilla, Mantis etc 
  • Familiar with G Suite/Microsoft 365 and communication tools such as Slack
  • Maintain a positive and solution-oriented approach to work, providing open and honest feedback
  • Competent general IT knowledge and the ability to quickly learn new tools

WHAT YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE

  • Conduct software testing in an appropriate, efficient and methodical manner to maximise the robustness of software releases across multiple products on an array of platforms
  • Create and maintain detailed test cases, test plans and other test relevant documentation following the department-wide reporting standards
  • Provide constructive and qualitative feedback to developers, product owners and stake holders
  • Attend sprint meetings to understand and help scope upcoming features
  • Identify and recommend improvements to the QA processes in order to improve our quality
  • Create release notes to communicate new features to the rest of the company and our customers
