JOB TITLE: Engineering Manager


HOURS: 37.5 hours per week 

LOCATION: Home based

SALARY: £80k-£100k DoE

As the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for managing the engineering team that builds and manages a core part of Healios’ technology, delivering value for clients and clinicians, and striving towards achieving high level business objectives. 

You'll be in constant communication with the stakeholders for every stage of each project's software development life cycle.

You will have a strong background in building quality software, and understand what it takes to mentor, lead and inspire a team of developers. You will handle the day-to-day running of the team, and also work to set long term development goals.

  • Understanding and experience of building and managing high performance teams, including a passion for nurturing engineering talent and encouraging their development
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • In depth knowledge and demonstrable experience of modern software development principles, practices and processes
  • Technical experience to be able to contribute to, and to guide technical discussions
  • A strong commercial awareness
  • Previous experience in any high growth, high volume API based B2B business would be fantastic


  • Hiring, developing and retaining high quality software engineering teams
  • Provide support for innovation and new ideas, and ensure staff feel empowered to challenge existing methods
  • Mentoring the development team
  • Work with the senior leadership team and other key stakeholders to realise company goals and vision for technical products and services
  • Working with team members to set development goals
  • Grow the team to meet the future needs of the business
